FAST DRYING, FEATHER FINISH UNDERLAY
DESCRIPTION
MULTI FEATHER FINISH is a fast-drying underlay application for a smoothing and feathering screed for a variety of floor coverings. Ready to use within 20 minutes of skimming.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
MULTI FEATHER FINISH provides a hard-wearing non-dusting floor surface over the following interior substrates:
- Concrete
- Masonry
- Tiles (ceramic, terrazzo)
- Solvent based adhesives

WATCH POINTS
- Do not reconstitute the mix after initial setting has occurred.
- Do not apply over floors recently heated via underfloor heating. Allow floors to cool before application.
- Colour of the screed surface on setting is not uniform in appearance.
- Do not apply over damp floors or where moisture is a concern.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces are to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, mould oil or curing compound from concrete surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate. When repairing damaged concrete, ensure that all loose concrete has removed down to a firm base. Note construction joints that need to be carried through the floor to surface.
PRIMING
Prime porous floors with MULTI SCREED PRIMER. Allow for penetration into the substrate and remove any excess pooling of primer. MULTI FEATHER FINISH can then be applied over the tacky primer or after the primer has been allowed to dry, but no later than 2 hours after drying of the primer. Do not apply over wet pooled primer as this will create runs in the screed and surface discolouration. Sound surfaces need no priming.
MIXING
Mix 2.5L clean water with 10kg of MULTI FEATHER FINISH well in a bucket using a mechanical mixer. Ensure all lumps have been broken up.
APPLICATION
Pour over the primed areas and using a steel trowel, screed out the product to the desired level or feather as necessary. Ensure as few trowel lines remain as possible. Allow to dry and set for 20 minutes before walking back on. Allow 1 hour drying time before use. Sand with 100-120 grit sandpaper to remove high points and polish to a hard, dust free surface prior to overlay installation.
EQUIPMENT CARE
All tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use. If delayed, equipment will need mechanical action to clean or be discarded.
